About Gold Cloud
Gold Cloud is a community website, run by James Lapham, where World of Warcraft players share gold farming runs and compare farms. Gold Cloud is a fan site and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Keep your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- One account per person. Don’t create extra accounts, for example to upvote your own runs.
- Your nickname must not impersonate someone else, including us or Blizzard, and must not be offensive.
What you submit
“Content” means anything you submit: runs, farm suggestions, notes, video links, guide suggestions (such as locations, route steps and key items), pictures you upload, your nickname, “About you” text, main character and profile links, and upvotes.
- You keep ownership of your content.
- By submitting it, you give us permission (a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence) to display, store, format and share it on Gold Cloud, and to use it in combined statistics such as farm averages, leaderboards and “best farms” lists. This includes adding your guide suggestions and pictures to a farm’s guide, editing them for length or clarity, and showing them alongside other players’ contributions.
- If you delete your account, your runs and upvotes are deleted. Farms you suggested, and guide suggestions and pictures we’ve already added to a farm’s guide, may stay on the site, without your name, because they’ve become part of it. Statistics already calculated may still reflect your runs until they’re next updated.
- Make sure you have the right to share anything you submit, such as pictures and video links. Only upload your own screenshots, or images you’re allowed to use.
- You’re responsible for what you submit, including the pictures you upload and where your profile links lead.
Community rules
To keep the numbers trustworthy for everyone:
- Be honest. Submit real runs with genuine times and values. Don’t submit made-up or exaggerated runs.
- Vote fairly. Only upvote runs you’ve tried that worked for you. Don’t trade, buy or fake upvotes.
- No cheating methods. Don’t share farms that rely on bots, exploits, hacks or anything else against Blizzard’s terms.
- No spam, advertising or gold-selling, and no links to them.
- Profile links are for your own accounts. Only link to your own channels and profiles, and don’t use them to mislead people or to advertise.
- Be decent. No abusive, hateful, sexual or illegal content.
- Don’t try to break, overload or misuse the site.
Moderation
We review submissions to keep the site useful. We may approve, edit, reject or remove any content (including guide suggestions, pictures and profile links), remove Trusted Farmer status, or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules. We’ll usually try to explain why, but we don’t have to.
The information on Gold Cloud
- Gold per hour figures and farm details are reported by players and are estimates. Your results will vary with your class, gear, server, prices and luck.
- Game updates can change or end farms at any time.
- Gold Cloud is for information and entertainment. We don’t guarantee that anything on the site is accurate, complete or up to date.
- Links to other sites, such as videos and members’ profile links, are provided by players. We’re not responsible for other sites.
Our responsibility
We provide Gold Cloud “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses that come from using the site or relying on its information, including in-game losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell members about significant changes. If you keep using Gold Cloud after a change, you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
